DIANA AYTON-SHENKER

Diana Ayton-Shenker

Founder and President Diana Ayton-Shenker works with private philanthropists, families, foundations and corporations to advance high-impact philanthropy, strategic partnerships and inspired social giving. Currently heading The Fast Forward Fund, she brings decades of work with philanthropy, the United Nations and other international organizations to promote practical and profitable solutions for effective human rights management, sustainable development, social entrepreneurship, and private-public partnerships.

Diana teaches Social Entrepreneurship at The New School, and has taught at The American University of Paris, and Hunter College where she directed the first undergraduate human rights program in the country. As an adjunct Professor at Bard College, Ms. Ayton-Shenker led seminars on Human Security, Conscious Citizenship, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) with a focus on human rights and the international finance sector. The author of numerous articles on human rights, CSR, sustainable development and culture, her most recent book, A Global Agenda, analyzes contemporary issues facing the UN. Ms. Ayton-Shenker, has been the Senior Fellow in Venture Philanthropy & International Affairs at Bard College, held senior positions with Mercy Corps, PEN, Human Rights Watch, and has served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations. Ms. Ayton-Shenker received her LLM in International Law from the University of Essex Law School Human Rights Centre, and her BA with Honors in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania. She is also a certified yoga instructor, and the author of Tumbalalaika, an original collection of poems. After living and working in France, England, Spain, and Israel, Diana now lives in Rhinebeck, New York, with her three children, and her husband and partner, British artist Bill Ayton.

DEBORAH LEIPZIGER

Deborah Leipziger

Deborah Leipziger focuses on supply chain strategy and sustainability standards. She is the author of many books and articles in the field of corporate responsibility, including The Corporate Responsibility Code Book (Greenleaf, 2003), and played a key role in the development of the standard Social Accountability 8000. Widely recognized as a leading expert in these fields, Ms. Leipziger lectures frequently on these topics and has served as a corporate responsibility consultant advising multinational companies, investment funds, and standard-setting bodies. Ms. Leipziger holds an MPA from Columbia University and a BA (magna cum laude) in Economics and International Studies from Manhattanville College. Her native English and Portuguese are complemented by Spanish.
