Founder
and President Diana Ayton-Shenker works with private philanthropists, families, foundations and corporations to advance high-impact philanthropy, strategic partnerships and inspired social giving. Currently heading The Fast Forward Fund, she brings decades of work with philanthropy,
the United Nations and other international
organizations to promote practical
and profitable solutions for effective
human rights management, sustainable development, social entrepreneurship,
and private-public partnerships. She
has taught at the
American University of Paris, Lewis & Clark
Law School, and Hunter College where
she directed the first undergraduate
human rights program in the country.
As an adjunct Professor at Bard
College, Ms. Ayton-Shenker led
seminars on Human Security, Conscious Citizenship, and Corporate Social Responsibility
(CSR) with a focus on human rights
and the international finance sector.
The author of numerous articles on
human rights, CSR, sustainable development
and culture, her most recent book, A
Global Agenda, analyzes contemporary
issues facing the UN. Ms. Ayton-Shenker, currently the Senior Fellow in Venture Philanthropy & International Affairs at Bard College, is now working on a book on social leadership and philanthropic innovation. She
has held senior positions with Mercy
Corps, PEN, Human
Rights Watch, and has
served on the boards of several nonprofit
organizations. Ms. Ayton-Shenker received her LLM in International Law from the University of Essex Law School Human Rights Centre, and her BA in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, she is a certified yoga instructor, and the author of Tumbalalaika, an original collection of poems. After living and working in France, England, Spain, and Israel, Diana Ayton-Shenker has settled in Rhinebeck, New York, where she lives with her three children, and her husband and partner, British artist Bill Ayton, www.ayton.net.

Deborah Leipziger focuses on supply chain strategy and sustainability standards. She is the author of many books and articles in the field of corporate responsibility, including The Corporate Responsibility Code Book (Greenleaf, 2003), and played a key role in the development of the standard Social Accountability 8000. Widely recognized as a leading expert in these fields, Ms. Leipziger lectures frequently on these topics and has served as a corporate responsibility consultant advising multinational companies, investment funds, and standard-setting bodies. Ms. Leipziger holds an MPA from Columbia University and a BA (magna cum laude) in Economics and International Studies from Manhattanville College. Her native English and Portuguese are complemented by Spanish.

Joanne Bauer consults with foundations in the human rights arena, and is a specialist in environmental issues, human rights, international policy and Asia. She is Senior Researcher and New York Representative for the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre, where she also manages a project on HIV/AIDS. She will be teaching a course on Business & Human Rights at Columbia University fall 2008.
For over ten years Joanne Bauer was Director of Studies at the Carnegie Council, where she founded and directed the Council's Human Rights Initiative and its multi-year project on values and environmental politics. From 1991-1994, Bauer was director of the Council's Japan Programs. Prior to joining the Council, Bauer held research positions in media, government, and banking.
An Asia specialist, Bauer is co-editor, with Daniel A. Bell, of The East Asian Challenge for Human Rights (Cambridge University Press, 1999). From 1994-2005 she was the editor of the magazine Human Rights Dialogue and has published a number of articles and reviews on human rights and environmental topics. Her most recent book is Forging Environmentalism: Justice, Livelihood, and Contested Environments (M.E. Sharpe, 2006).

BAZ, Arts & Social Justice Project Manager
Adam
Baz is currently on leave to pursue independent creative art work. Adam coordinates Global Momenta’s
partnerships with various sponsors, museums,
organizations, and artists. Adam received
his BA from Bard College, with a double
major in Human Rights and Integrated
Fine Arts, where he received the Bard
College Human Rights Scholarship and
the Bard Junior Fellowship Award, which
financed an internship with political
artist Paul Chan. Adam has done independent
research and journalism in the Zapatista
communities of Chiapas, Mexico, and at
the 2006 World Social Forum in Caracas,
Venezuela. He has worked with the Anti-Racist
Action Coalition, Greenpeace, Democracy
Resources, and AmeriCorps. Adam is the
author of The
Inimical Gaze: Abu Ghraib, Digital Cameras, & the
Subjugation of Vision as a Means to Power,
a combined written and visual exploration
of the correlation between vision and
power
